Board Appointment  [Posted 31st July, 2009]

The Board of Electronic Data Processing PLC (EDP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Heller, MA ACA, as a non-executive director with effect from 3 August 2009.
Andrew (age 40) is Managing Director of Bisichi Mining plc, a listed mining company, and a director of various private companies. Andrew qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen.
There are no further disclosures to be made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13.
EDP separately confirms the appointment of James Storey, ACA, as Company Secretary. James is currently financial controller. James previously held various finance positions with Sun Chemical Group and KPMG.

Disposal Of Freehold Property  

On the 15th February, EDP PLC announced that it had exchanged contracts to dispose of its freehold former head office in Sheffield. The consideration for the freehold is £1.35 million. Costs associated with the disposal are estimated to be £20,000. The net sale proceeds will be added to existing cash resources (£6.0 million). The property had a net book value of £660,000 at 30 September 2007.

EDP Appointment Of Acting Chief Executive      [Posted 21st June, 2007]

The Board of Electronic Data Processing PLC (EDP) today announces that Group Finance Director and Company Secretary, Julian Wassell, has been appointed Acting Chief Executive. This appointment is following the recent sudden death of Richard Jowitt on 23rd May.

Mr Wassell (ACA), 44, was previously Finance Director of WBF Ltd, part of Adare Printing Group plc. He qualified with Ernst & Young.

EDP Acquire Vecta Software Corporation     

Electronic Data Processing PLC (EDP) announces that on 16 October 2006 it acquired the business and certain assets of Vecta Software Corporation Limited (Vecta), a leading provider of sales intelligence software solutions, based in Oxford.

Consideration is £900,000 payable in cash on completion. The assets acquired include goodwill, all Intellectual Property and trade debtors. Debtors amount to some £110,000.

The Directors expect the acquisition to be earnings neutral in the current financial year and earnings enhancing in the 2007/8 financial year.

Richard J Jowitt, Chief Executive of EDP, said "Vecta brings to EDP a leading edge sales intelligence product set and over two hundred customers, a significant proportion of which are household names. The Vecta product complements EDP's Quantum VS myViewpoint business intelligence product. Vecta addresses a wider market that it will continue to exploit as the integration into the EDP group progresses".

EDP releases Quantum VS™ EasyPay - Card Payment Processing     

The use of credit, debit or purchase cards is now part of our everyday lives. Increasingly, business customers rely upon the use of cards to pay for goods, whether this be via Tele-Sales, at the Trade Counter, or over the Internet.

EDP PLC is delighted to announce the release of Quantum VS™ EasyPay. Using technology hosted at the Information Technology Solution Centre, EDP can now offer Group application users, the ability to process card payments (Credit/Debit/Purchase cards) through their application.

The Quantum VS™ EasyPay service is able to process:

· Customer present transactions;
  Created at the trade counter

· Customer not present transactions;
  Created via Tele-Sales or from a Quantum VS enabled e-business web site

As a part of the approvals process EDP PLC is now one of only 20 European Payment Service Providers certified to the Visa Account Information Security standard.
