SOLUTIONS:

Features & Functionality

Your e-customers are here - what are the features available to visitors and registered account holders?

For your visitors:
Visitors to your e-business site have less functionality available to them, compared to registered account holders.
They can browse your catalogue, establish that you are a potential supplier, access technical data and raise a priced enquiry/quotation, based on the general published price.

Visitors may also register to set up an account.

Release 2 of Quantum VS e-business allows visitors to place orders and pay by credit card. Secure Socket Layer encryption will ensure that all credit card transactions are processed safely.

For registered account holders:
Registered account holders may browse your product catalogue and locate products using a variety of means: They can drill-down from your catalogue index through sections to sub-sections, to a list of descriptions of the required range of products. Upon selecting a product, more detailed descriptions are available as well as stock availability, their buy prices (including any quantity breaks if applicable), pictures and an option to view technical data if available.

Other search options consist of; Key word search and Product Code search. However the fastest way to locate products and order them is to select them from either recent orders placed, or from the record card (which can be parameterised, but typically will show recent and/or frequent product purchases).

Regardless of how your customer finds the products he wants to buy, the registered customer can see whether or not you can satisfy his order. He can build up a multi-line order based upon his buying prices with you, is able to select ship-to addresses from file and can place a confirmed order with you. Finally an order acknowledgement is sent back to your customer via e-mail.

Having placed orders with you, registered customers may enquire about their accounts. They can see outstanding invoices and drill down to the line level of these invoices. They can also review recently placed orders from their record card, and you may choose to display some purchase statistics in graphical form as a sales tool.
