UniVision Gets A+ Rating in Credit Reporting Field.

The National Association of Credit Management (NACM) is a private credit service, where business groups share credit information; NACM also acts as a clearinghouse for credit descions. This means analysing huge volumes of data easily, helping the user make informed decisions quickly and accurately.

Vice President of Information Services, Tom Webber, realised that NACM needed to expand from their closed proprietary environment to a Pick-based solution. They chose the Mentor solution from ADDS and in the beginning it was ideal - a typical transaction took only 120 lines of trade from members, topping out at 2 to 3 million lines per month.

However, "with the demand for credit reporting soaring, we were reaching beyong our capacity, along with requests by our members for around the clock access. We needed more processing power" states Tom.
"I met Via Systems (a subsidiary of EDP) at a trade show, saw UniVision and gave the company a challenge. They met it!"

Using UniVision, within 2 hours Via Systems' had converted and recompiled 175 of NACM's programs, and Tom was up and running the same business day.

UniVision provides functionally identical implementations for AIX, NCR, SVR4, SCO & Unixware, NT and Linux, and is compatible with existing applications running on Pick (D3, AP and R83), General Automation, Mentor and Ultimate. For full compatibility and smooth conversion, UniVision is the most cost effective solution in the Multi-Value database market.

UniVision is doing such a good job for members, that eight other NACM units have moved their data processing needs to the platform.
